ee auth create

Creates http authentication for a site.

SYNOPSIS

ee auth create [<site-name>] [--user=<user>] [--pass=<pass>] [--ip=<ip>]

OPTIONS

[<site-name>]
: Name of website / global for global scope.

[--user=<user>]
: Username for http auth.

[--pass=<pass>]
: Password for http auth.

Without --user, EasyEngine creates a user named ee- followed by six random characters. Without --pass, it generates a random password. The command prints the new credentials.

[--ip=<ip>]
: IP to whitelist. Comma-separated IPs or CIDR ranges. Whitelisted IPs skip HTTP authentication. With --ip, --user and --pass are ignored.

EXAMPLES

# Add auth on a site with a random username (ee-xxxxxx) and a random password
$ ee auth create example.com

# Add auth on all sites with a random username and a random password
$ ee auth create global

# Add auth on site with predefined username and password
$ ee auth create example.com --user=test --pass=password

# Add auth on a site with a random username and a chosen password
$ ee auth create example.com --pass=password

# Whitelist IP on site
$ ee auth create example.com --ip=8.8.8.8,1.1.1.1
