If your server is stuck in Importing or Decommission Failed, it usually means the connection between EasyEngine Dashboard and your server was interrupted.
This can happen if:
The server was deleted outside the dashboard, or
EasyEngine SSH access key was manually removed.
To fix this, please confirm the server name, and our team can manually remove it.
For smooth setup, ensure you’re using Ubuntu 24.04 (supported for new servers).
Existing EasyEngine servers should be v4.8+ on Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04.
No. Currently, EasyEngine supports only Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04.
Yes. You can add any Ubuntu-based VPS or cloud server by importing it via EasyEngine SSH key.
We also support provisioning new servers directly on AWS, DigitalOcean, and Hetzner.
If you already have a server with EasyEngine installed, you can import it to the dashboard as long as it’s EasyEngine v4.8 or higher on Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04.
No. When you provision a new server or add an existing one, EasyEngine automatically installs and configures EasyEngine CLI, NGINX, and other dependencies required for site management.
If you’re importing an existing EasyEngine CLI server, make sure EasyEngine CLI is v4.8+ on Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04.
Go to Settings → Cloud Providers and add your API keys for supported clouds:
Each provider requires specific permissions for provisioning.
If permissions are limited, provisioning or decommissioning may fail.
See Cloud Key Permissions Reference for details.
The dashboard requires server confirmation before removing it.
If it’s already deleted, contact support, and we’ll remove it manually.
This happens when the API key lacks sufficient permissions or has expired.
Check your API key scopes with required permissions or create a new one.
If permissions are limited, provisioning or decommissioning may fail.
See Cloud Key Permissions Reference for details.
