Backups & Restore FAQs

1. How do automatic backups work for EasyEngine sites?

Daily automatic backups are stored in your configured S3 storage. You can also create manual backups of any site at any time. 

2. Can I download backups of my EasyEngine site?

Yes. Go to the Backup tab on your site → Click on Prepare ZIP for any backup → Click Download.

3. How do I restore a backup of an EasyEngine site?

From the Backup tab, click Restore on any backup. The system will automatically restore files and database.

4. How do I connect S3 storage for backups?

Go to Settings → Backup Provider and add your S3-compatible credentials:

• Bucket name
• Access Key ID
• Secret Key
• Endpoint URL (for custom S3 services like Wasabi, MinIO, or DigitalOcean Spaces)

Once added, all servers under your organization can use this for backups.
